In Lipetsk, work has resumed on Victory Square, the Lipetsk City Hall reports. The authorities explained that they had received a positive conclusion based on the results of the study of the asphalt used for the leveling layer. Now the contractor has laid 75% of the top layer of asphalt on Victory Square. After that, hatches will be installed and markings will be applied.

As previously reported by Vesti Lipetsk, the repair of Victory Square stopped in early May due to the fact that the authorities had complaints about the quality of the mixture. Then the contractor removed the old curbs and cut the asphalt. At the beginning of May, the leveling layer was laid, after that the work got up. An independent examination, apparently, came to other conclusions.

They also conducted an examination on Pushkin and Telman Streets, which are being repaired by the same contractor. Shortcomings were revealed there. On Pushkin Street, the leveling layer does not meet the requirements for the coefficient of water resistance and the average value of the tensile strength. Water saturation is also exceeded on the sidewalks on Pushkin and Telman Streets. This can lead to to premature destruction of the coating. A letter was sent to the contractor demanding that the leveling layer of asphalt be cut off and laid again. Asphalt on sidewalks is also required to be replaced.

It should be noted that the repair of Pushkin Street stopped in May. Local residents noticed that no work was being carried out, and barriers that restricted traffic disappeared from the roadway. The mayor's office replied that all work should be completed by August 31.

Road repairs continue at other facilities. On the streets of Merkulov, Filipchenko and Belan, the contractor completes the work. At the first facility, work was carried out on the segment from the intersection with Vodopyanova to the intersection with the 60th Anniversary of the USSR Avenue. The contractor replaced the asphalt, repaired signs and traffic lights. Now a pedestrian fence is being installed there. The main works on Filipchenko and Belan streets have also been completed.

RosdorNIA experts took samples of asphalt to check the quality. After receiving the conclusion, the department of the chief caretaker will make a decision on marking these streets.

On Pisareva Street in Dacha, the repair is almost complete. It remains for the contractor to repair the signs and apply markings. On the streets of Ladygin and The locomotive completes the installation of curbs and arranges the base of sidewalks. The next stage will be the laying of the top layer of asphalt concrete pavement.

On Zegel Street, the contractor laid the bottom layer of asphalt. Continue to install curbs and make a base for a bike path. It is expected that traffic light poles will be installed there this week.

On Marina Raskova Street, specialists are completing the dismantling of curbs and preparing to start installing them. Then they will cut off the old asphalt and lay a new one on an area of 13 thousand square meters.

On the 2nd Industrial Street, specialists are making a base for curbs, milling and laying of the leveling layer have been completed on the Excavator.

On the streets of Cosmonauts, Podgorenskaya, Stakhanova, Krivenkov, work is currently underway to improve traffic safety. Specialists update the markup, repair signs and fencing.

Repairs of all roads should be completed by the end of summer.
