The work was efficiently carried out in compliance with all technological operations and with the use of required road construction equipment, despite the limited capacity of the test site.
During the paving of asphalt-concrete layers, the staff of the FAI “ROSDORNII” carried out the installation of the necessary measuring equipment to obtain new scientific data.
ROSDORNII expresses its gratitude to the manufacturing company Dorstroy LLC, namely to the General Director Aram Gevorgyan, his Deputies Oganes Agadzhanyan, Pavel Kochetkov and all employees involved in the execution of the works, as well as to the Deputy Chief Engineer of the State-Owned Road Construction and Maintenance Agency Tsentravtomagistral Ivan Chantsev for their assistance and deep interest in supporting the scientific research activities of the Institute.
‘The construction of the road pavement in this test site will allow us to continue the work of the annual cycle of accelerated testing during the long-term research programme and to obtain new scientific data from the measuring sensors,’ explained Sergei Mironchuk.

Wheel load simulator “CYCLOS” is an innovative installation developed by ROSDORNII within the framework of the National Project “Safe Quality Roads”.
The “CYCLOS” test site in Golitsyno is a complex of special facilities and infrastructure, capable to maintain the specified conditions all year round, including test sections necessary for accelerated testing of road pavement using the wheel load simulator “CYCLOS”. The test site is designed for providing unified methodological support of tests and research activities, taking into account an integrated approach to obtain quality results.
