At the conference "Engineering and Ore Geophysics 2020", the specialists of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" told about the geo-radar equipment
A scientific and practical conference and exhibition "Engineering and Ore Geophysics" was held in Perm from September 14 to 18 for the sixteenth time. In 2020, the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) organized a scientific seminar "Engineering and Ore Geology" for the first time at this site.
The participants of the conference shared their experience in the field of engineering surveys in difficult soil-hydrogeological conditions, modeling of geological processes, exploration of underground quarries, research of permafrost soils, inspection of buildings and structures. Modern geophysical methods were considered: georadar technologies, shallow-depth seismic exploration, electrical exploration and electrotomography.
A significant part of the reports and speeches were devoted to geo-radar research. This area is of particular interest to the experts of the FAA "ROSDORNIA". One of the activities of the Institute's staff is preparation of digital models of road structures on the highway network of federal, regional and intermunicipal significance in the implementation of the federal project "System-wide measures for the development of road facilities" of the national project "Safe and high-quality highways".
Thanks to the possibilities of the online format, experts from ROSDORNIA joined the section "Georadar Technologies": the head of the Department of Road Design Methods (UMPAD) made reportsAlexander Kulizhnikov and Deputy Head of UMPADRoman Eremin. They presented the results of research work in terms of developing requirements for specialized geo-radar equipment for creating digital models of road structures and automatic search for voids in building structures based on georadar survey data.
