A metrobus may appear on the streets of Voronezh, the press center of the regional government reported on Tuesday, June 1. This is the name of the bus rapid route along the line, which is usually located in the center of the road.
Metrobus differs from buses and trolleybuses by higher speed, carrying capacity and reliability, it was decided at a meeting of Governor Alexander Gusev with colleagues, representatives of Rosdornia and the project office for public transport of the State Development Corporation VEB.RF".
– During peak hours, the problem of public transport remains – both low speed of movement and overcrowding of public transport. Therefore, I would like to make a promising decision that would allow us to properly allocate tasks and, accordingly, resources for these tasks," the governor said.
He instructed to prepare concrete proposals on the development of the public transport system in Voronezh.
For the first time, the launch of the metrobus was discussed in March 2021. Officials said that this requires the transfer of stops and changes to the entire infrastructure – the project quite heavy and expensive, but the effect of it is guaranteed.Источник:
