The main task of developing a comprehensive program for the development of the transport infrastructure of the Kurgan region is to achieve the goals of the national project "Safe quality Roads" in the field of ensuring compliance of the network of highways of regional and inter-municipal significance with the current regulatory requirements, reducing the share of regional highways operating in overload mode, and ensuring road safety.

Recall that in the summer ROSDORNII signed a contract to develop a set of transport planning documents for the Republic of Crimea and the Simferopol agglomeration; the Institute conducts similar work for the Voronezh, Astrakhan and Murmansk regions.

The program for the integrated development of transport infrastructure of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation is a basic transport planning document with a list of measures for the construction and reconstruction of transport infrastructure facilities in order to improve the functioning of the transport complex, ensure safety and accessibility of transport services to the population. Its development is one of the mandatory conditions for the region's participation in the national project "Safe high–quality roads".
