A working meeting of ROSDORNIA employees with colleagues from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, FSUE "NAMI", JSC "GLONASS", PJSC "KAMAZ" and manufacturers of axial load sensors of vehicles took place in videoconference mode. As part of the work on the state assignment, the Road Institute provides technical support for the introduction of legislative amendments to the regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of wheeled Vehicles" and measures for the introduction of appropriate on-board weight control systems.
The meeting discussed the development of the regulatory framework and the need to develop regulatory and technical literature. The importance of ensuring information security and the development of necessary measures to ensure the reliability of data transmitted from on-board weight control systems was noted. The issue of certification and metrological support, periodic calibrations and equipment tuning was discussed separately.
For the first time, tests of a new weight control system for cargo vehicles were carried out by ROSDORNIA specialists at the end of 2020. The equipment makes it possible set the load on each axle and the total weight of the vehicle.
