Foreign companies Step-Hear (Israel) and RoadCloud Oy (Finland) became participants of the second season Accelerator of the road industry of ROSDORNIA to support and implement promising innovative technologies in the regions.
Step-Hear company offers an intelligent interactive solution to ensure the accessibility of public transport to people with visual and mobility disabilities. By combining a free smartphone application with a special infrastructure of stops or train stations and the vehicles themselves, users with disabilities automatically receive information about the location of stops and driving routes, and drivers in real time — about the presence of a passenger with disabilities at the stop.
The Step-Hear app helps users find and recognize the nearest vehicle door by an audible indication. It is also possible to notify the driver in a timely manner about which stop a user with disabilities wants to get off at. The solutions of the Israeli colleagues are already being successfully implemented in Spain and Israel, and the company's representatives plan to implement new pilot projects in Moscow.
RoadCloud Oy provides transport services and systems with real-time information on road weather conditions and traffic. The company's employees have prepared a pilot project for implementation on the territory of our country in order to develop and accelerate the introduction of new technologies.
The accelerator of the road industry of ROSDORNIA was launched as part of the national project "Safe high-quality roads" and is a platform for technological re-equipment of road industry enterprises and support of technological and scientific projects of young scientists and entrepreneurs. The purpose of creating this platform is to search and fill the industry with breakthrough and innovative solutions and technologies that will make the roads high–quality and safe, meeting the requirements of modernity.
The Accelerator format includes a track of technological entrepreneurship, mentoring and partner tracks, and the finalists and winners of the program will be offered industry expertise, support and inclusion in the RNNT (Register of new and best technologies, materials and technological solutions for reuse), as well as the opportunity to test projects at the facilities of the road industry.
