The official opening ceremony of the International Specialized Exhibition "Road 2019" was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation M.A. Akimov, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation E.I. Dietrich, Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region E.I. Kuyvashev, Head of the Main Directorate for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation M.Y. Chernikov and other officials.
M.A. Akimov spoke on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation.
In his speech, he noted that roads, like many centuries ago, are what unites us and contributes to progress. Innovations and new technologies presented at the exhibition will make it possible to achieve success in the development of the road industry.
E.I. Dietrich noted that it is no coincidence that the exhibition takes place on the eve of the Day of Road Workers. The exhibition is an occasion to demonstrate the results and indicate where to move on.
E.I. Kuyvashev: "Our region is the largest transport hub of the country. We are glad to receive guests. We in the Urals know that the development of the road industry also depends on the development of other industries."
M.Y. Chernikov: "The exhibition presents new developments and solutions within the framework of the national project. Our task - to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers, to make sure that everyone returns home alive and well."
