From June 6-7, Sokolniki Exhibition and Exhibition Center hosted the International Exhibition on Engineering Surveys in Construction "GeoInfo Expo – 2019" - the largest b2b platform in Russia for specialists in the field of engineering surveys and design.
Manufacturers of equipment for engineering surveys, software developers, companies providing services in this field, as well as in the field of engineering protection of the territory were represented at the exhibition.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a round table "The possibilities of modern geophysical methods and equipment in the framework of engineering and geological surveys" was held. The event was attended by R.A. Eremin, Head of the Department of Innovative Technologies in Engineering Research, with a report "Creating digital models of highways using georadiolocation and laser scanning methods".
The author summarized the experience of creating digital models of highways using georadolocation and laser scanning methods, presenting the methodology of work and implemented examples of modeling the construction of pavement based on the results of georadolocation survey and laser scanning.
In the work of the round table also the chief specialist of the Department of Innovative Technologies in Engineering research A. O. Kuznetsov took part with a report on the topic: "Results of comparative tests of mobile laser scanning systems and mobile road laboratories"
In this work, the results of comparative tests of mobile laser scanning systems and mobile road laboratories conducted by the FAA "ROSDORNII" in March 2019 were presented. As a result of the tests, the advantages and limitations of the technologies used to collect spatial data were revealed, the accuracy of determining the coordinates of objects was evaluated, and the rational scope of application of various systems was determined.
