The 9th session of the Expert Group on Comparative Analysis of Transport Infrastructure Construction Costs (GE.4) United Nations Economic Commission for Europe
The Russian delegation included representatives of the FAA "ROSDORNIA", Head of the Statistics and Accounting Department of the Scientific and Technical Department M.Y.Ivannikov, Head of the Analytics and Expertise Department of the Expert and Analytical Department E.T. Kupreishvili. The subsidiary JSC "Institute of Economics and Transport Development" of JSC "Russian Railways" was represented by the head of the Department for the development of industry standards D.S. Rubchenko.
Within the framework of the session, work was carried out on a comparative analysis of the costs for the construction of the infrastructure of highways, railways, inland waterways and intermodal terminals.
The information provided in the reports on best practices at the national level on the assessment of transport construction costs was discussed.
Special attention was paid to the work of collecting and processing data for a comparative analysis of the cost of construction of road transport infrastructure.
The experience of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" in the field of collecting, structuring and analyzing data on the cost of construction of public roads in the Russian Federation interested the participants of the session. During the discussions and discussions, it was noted that this new direction, when combining the knowledge and practices of experts from different countries, will create prerequisites for reducing the costs of transport construction, will allow assessing the factors affecting business profitability and will give a real assessment of competition in the work market.

The next 10th session of the Expert Group on Comparative Analysis of Costs for the Construction of Transport Infrastructure (GE.4) The UN Economic Commission for Europe is scheduled for January 30-31, 2020.
