The experts of the scientific institute agreed to hold a special training seminar on the territory of the Murmansk region during a working trip to the region
On February 9, a meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Murmansk region and local customers with a delegation of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" took place. This was the first visit of the CCC to this region, therefore, the participants had the task to discuss a wide range of issues: starting from the organization of interaction between departments and ending with certain narrow technological aspects. One of the main topics is the peculiarity of working with new technologies for designing asphalt concrete mixtures.
For Murmansk road workers, such information is especially relevant, since the regional customer at the end of 2020 purchased a set of the latest laboratory equipment to work according to new standards that differ significantly from the usual GOST standards, which will soon be canceled.
"We often test asphalt concrete according to GOST 9128 for a number of parameters, without even understanding how these values are linked to the key characteristics of the road surface, operated in real conditions. In turn, the systems of volumetric and volumetric-functional design are aimed at determining those parameters that maximally reflect the operational condition of the highway," said the Deputy Director for Organizational Activities of the BCCOlga Vorobyova.
During the exchange of views, it became clear that it was necessary to hold an extended training seminar with representatives of the customer's laboratory and contracting organizations. In order to resolve all remaining issues, specialists of the Industry Competence Center of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" will organize a regular meeting before the start of the construction season. Several of the main problems were voiced by the Deputy head of the Department for the Development of scientific and Technical potential of the road industry of the FAA "ROSDORNII"Alexander Tikhonov:
«Based on the experience of advanced regions in terms of the introduction of new technologies, we see a number of frequently encountered problematic issues. As a rule, they are related to pricing, resource availability, quality control and many other factors. In this regard, we can give clear recommendations and accompany your work in the coming years. Well–established and understandable relationships between customers and contractors are often the key to success," he said.Alexander Tikhonov.
In addition, representatives of the Murmansk Region will be able to take part in other training events that the FAA ROSDORNII plans to hold in 2021. Some of them will be organized in the format of industrial practice with the use of advanced road construction equipment. Director of Organizational Activities of the BCCAlexey Kovrov urged the representatives of the region to actively use the help of the Road Institute and reminded that the support is absolutely free for the participants of the national project of the BCAD.
«We are ready to go further and help the region in all areas, not only in the field of laboratory control. In the era of rearmament and change of state standards, regions have to rebuild their attitude to the culture of road works. We are ready to tell you how to go through the main stages correctly," he saidAlexey Kovrov.
The last word was taken by the head of the quality monitoring department road worksPavel Kriushin with a report on quality control in the production of road construction works using new technologies:
«Many customers underestimate the strength of the contract and therefore make them standard, and in case of disputes during the acceptance of work, it is not always clear how to resolve them. However, if you initially prescribe in the contract all the rules and requirements according to which you will exercise control with subsequent acceptance of work, you will get rid of a large number of potential problems," he recommendedPavel Kriushin.
In 2021, quality monitoring in the Murmansk Region and throughout the North-Western Federal District will be carried out by the Golitsinsky branch of the FAA "ROSDORNII", which will be transferred to the Leningrad Region. The structural division of the Institute will cover a larger number of production facilities, which will give a more complete picture of the quality of repair work on regional roads.
