The new technology of road repair will allow Pavlodar residents to start it now
Inform.kz, 10.03.2022
In Pavlodar, the pit repair of roads begins. For the first time, a new technology of laying polymer cold asphalt is used on the streets of the city – MAC asphalt (Multigrade asphalt cement), the use of which is allowed at sub-zero temperatures, the correspondent of MIA Kazinform reports.
"From tomorrow, work on the current (pit) repair will begin in Pavlodar," said Akim of Pavlodar Asain Baykhanov, writing about it on his personal page on Instagram. According to him, in previous years, before the onset of warm days, pit repairs in Pavlodar were done in two stages: at the end of winter, the pits in the damaged asphalt were filled with crushed stone, and with the onset of heat and the launch of asphalt concrete plants, the pits and holes were covered with ordinary asphalt.
"This year, for the first time, a new technology for laying polymer cold asphalt will be used on the streets of the city – MAC asphalt (Multigrade asphalt cement), the use of which is allowed at subzero temperatures. Immediately after laying the "cold polymer asphalt", vehicles can move along it, the technology does not require additional time for the mixture to solidify," the mayor said an interesting detail.
Specialists examined the areas that require repair. 39 streets have already been identified, where damage to the asphalt pavement will be restored on an area of more than 3,200 square meters, A. Baykhanov said.
