MOSCOW, May 26. /tass/. Orenburg and Astrakhan became pilot regions in the first quarter of 2020, where special seminars on
introduction of technologies for volumetric design of asphalt concrete mixtures. In other regions, work will continue after the removal of anti-epidemic
restrictions, according to the message of the autonomous non-profit organization (ANO) "National Priorities".
"In 2020, in continuation of the work started in 2019, a number of seminars were held in pilot regions, where specialists of the FAA "RosdorNII" (Russian
road research Institute, - approx. TASS) told in detail how to implement methods of volumetric design of asphalt concrete mixtures.
The work will continue after the anti-epidemic measures are completed. Introductory seminars in the first quarter of 2020 were held in Orenburg and in
Astrakhan," the message reads.
The system of volumetric and functional design of asphalt concrete mixtures allows to increase the time between repairs, to increase transport and operational
characteristics and safety of highways. As explained in the ANO "National Priorities", RosdorNII accompanies the introduction of new technologies
at all stages of road construction activity.
Employees of the Institute analyze the documentation, qualifications of the services of customers and contractors, take samples of raw materials and from the already arranged
road construction, monitor compliance with the declared technology.
Also, specialists go to sites where work is already underway with the use of new and best technologies, and a series of training sessions is being held in the regions.

As noted earlier by the portal "The Future of Russia. National Projects", which is operated by TASS, in 2020, new technologies for road repair will be
applied to more than 1 thousand objects in 77 subjects of the Russian Federation. All of them are included in the Register of new and best technologies created within the framework of the national project "Safe and
high-quality highways".
