Thanks to the implementation of the national project "Safe High-quality Roads" in 2021, more than 5 thousand road workers were trained in advanced training programs. The events were implemented with the support of the Russian Road Research Institute and the Russian University of Transport.

During 2021, ROSDORNII FAU conducted classes on 21 advanced training programs, while 6 new ones were developed and 9 existing ones were updated. 5,161 people were trained. The share of listeners aged 18 to 35 years was 58.44%. In addition, 54 introductory and informational events on topical issues of road management were held, in which more than 5.3 thousand people took part in total, and more than 3.6 thousand industry workers watched webinars on the record.

Oksana Braslavskaya, the chief specialist of the testing laboratory of the Lenavtodor State University, underwent advanced training at the Russian University of Transport, classes were held remotely. She studied in several programs, among which - "Application of information modeling technology in road construction construction", "Technical means of organizing and ensuring road safety in the design, construction and operation of highways", "Use of the Register of new and best technologies, materials, technological solutions for reuse in the planning and application of new technologies".

"We live in a time when getting an education at the same time is not enough for a long time. It is important that the national road project makes it possible to study, as they say, on-the-job, when you are at work during the day, and in the evening you master the curriculum. It's great when the common goal of the whole country - the creation of high-quality roads - affects the development of the industry comprehensively from the operation of the skating rink on the highway to education," says Oksana Braslavskaya.

The acquired knowledge was applied in practice - last year in the Leningrad region, about 200 km were brought to the standard according to the national project. The share of facilities where the use of new and best technologies was envisaged was more than 80%. According to the chief specialist of the testing laboratory, last year the Lenavtodor State Technical University significantly strengthened the quality control of work contractors.

Andrey Sharin, a leading engineer of the Department of construction and repair of highways of the State Unitary Enterprise "Yardorsluzhba", performed the functions of technical supervision at several objects of the national project in the Yaroslavl region: sections of the repair of the Uglich - Nekouz - Breitovo highway, Yaroslavl - Shopsha, Moscow - Arkhangelsk - Dubki.

"My task is to identify shortcomings in time and inform the contractor about it, if necessary, to suggest what to fix, how to comply with the declared technology, to organize the work correctly. I try to keep abreast of all innovations and regularly improve my qualifications, including thanks to these courses, where the maximum amount of subject and useful information is provided in a short period of time," said Andrey Sharin.

Ekaterina Kosyreva, an engineer of the production and technical department from Novokuznetsk, is a young specialist. Last year she studied at the educational portal of the FAU "ROSDORNII". I chose the course "Technologies of reuse of materials in the construction of structural layers of road clothes". This year Ekaterina will be engaged in the control of repair work at the facilities the national project "Safe high-quality roads" as a production engineer in a contracting organization.

"Every year, changes are made to GOST standards to improve the quality of our roads and, as a result, improve the quality of people's lives. In order not only to be aware of innovations, but also to successfully apply them, it is necessary to increase the level of knowledge. And it doesn't matter if you've been in the profession for two years or 20. Everyone needs it," says Ekaterina Kosyreva.

It should be recalled that professional development of road workers is one of the indicators of the federal project "System-wide measures for road development" of the national project "Safe High-quality Roads". In 2021, this indicator was exceeded by 2.58 times. The events were implemented with the support of the Russian Road Research Institute and the Russian University of Transport.
