Contractors correct defects in the repair of Smolensk roads within the framework of the BCAD

Work on bugs or repair with continuation. Contractors who reconstructed roads in Smolensk, within the framework of the national project "Safe high-quality highways", are returning to the facilities. The organizations were required to fulfill the warranty obligations stipulated by the state contract. Work is in full swing on Marshal Konev Street: as soon as the weather allowed, the contractor went out to seal up the transverse cracks and raise the sagging wells. Three years ago, the organization carried out milling of the old asphalt here, laid two layers of new, partially replaced the side stone and the sidewalk with the base, applied markings and even finalized the project.

Ivan Shavrov, Chief Engineer of the contracting organization:
"The design and estimate documentation did not provide for the movement of low-mobility groups. That is, it was not an understatement of the curb stone – it was not provided for, and, accordingly, tactile pointers were not laid, therefore, on Marshal Konev Street on the section of road that we did directly, we ourselves did this understatement and laid this tactile tile."

There were also minor shortcomings in the reconstruction project a section of road on Gagarin Avenue, at the turn to Milovidovo. As a result, gaps were formed, which the same contractor is forced to patch up. Specialists are already in place, work is underway. The plan also includes repairs on this section of the road on the street on September 25.

Andrey Brushenkov, Deputy Head of the Department of Road Management and Construction of the city Administration Smolensk:

"Problems of the following plan have been detected: this is the subsidence of hatches, longitudinal, transverse cracks, peeling asphalt, potholes. This will all be resolved within the framework of warranty repairs in the near future."

Perhaps the most serious pits were found on Popov Street. Repairs here were completed last year, and in total, along with the fulfillment of warranty obligations, the work went on for two years. Nikolay Yarov, moderator of the thematic platform of the ONF "Safe and high-quality highways" in Smolensk region:

"You and I can see that the lower layer was laid here by the KZP, the upper A16. This is a coarse–grained layer that goes to the bottom, and A16 is the top layer made using new technologies. It is being applied now. These two layers, unfortunately, do not quite fit together, what do we need ROSDORNIA experts also testified. And I would like to note that such technology is most often not used on main streets."

The contractor will also have to correct the project errors, as well as his shortcomings here. He promised to restore the destruction on the top layer of asphalt in the near future. I would like to note that none of the contractors of the BCAD national project in the city of Smolensk refused to fulfill their warranty obligations this year.
