In Orenburg region, 1.5 thousand km of regional highways have been repaired and built over the five years of the project "Safe high–quality Roads" - one of the results that was announced at the annual meeting with representatives of contracting road organizations in the region.
The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of a national project on highways of regional and inter-municipal significance Orenburg region in 2022.
The participants of the event were the Deputy Prime Minister Orenburg Region — Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services, Roads and Transport Orenburg region Alexander Polukhin, Director of the Main Road Management Department of the region Dmitry Serbin, heads of the State road supervision in the Orenburg region, the regional branch of the Federal State Institution Uprdor "Priuralie", the branch of the FAU "ROSDORNII" and the Orenburg State University.
Alexander Polukhin spoke about the main directions of the implementation of the national road project this year.
— In the program of the national project this year — repair of more than 223 kilometers of roads Orenburg region. Of these, 191 km are on regional and inter—municipal highways, 21.1 km — in Orenburg and 11.7 km — in Orsk. Moreover, the main emphasis will be placed not just on bringing the road network coverage into a normative state, but on carrying out major repairs of regional roads," Alexander Polukhin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services, Road Management and Transport of the region, stressed in his speech.
This year, as part of the national project "Safe high-quality Roads"
, a separate program for artificial structures has been allocated. In 2022 , it included ten facilities in Orenburg region. The total length of the repaired sections will be more than 600 linear meters. Also by the decision of the governor Denis Pasler's Orenburg Region has increased the financing of municipal road funds: in 2022, more than 1.1 billion rubles will be allocated from the regional budget for the repair and overhaul of roads in all 42 municipalities of the region.
Special attention will be paid to the quality of the work performed. Monitoring the condition of roads, the quality of work and the competence of contractors will be evaluated by the Orenburg branch Russian Road Research Institute (FAA "ROSDORNII").

Last year, our region became one of the leading regions in the implementation of the national project "Safe High-quality Roads". Within the framework of the national project, 470 km of regional and local roads were repaired, including 71.4 km in Orenburg and 7.1 km in the Orsk agglomeration. In addition, thanks to subsidies from the regional budget, more than 210 km in 41 territories were put in order.
The meeting participants also noted the positive dynamics in improving the level of road safety. Based on the results of the implementation of a set of measures of the national project in 2021 in In the Orenburg region, the number of victims of road accidents decreased by more than 30 percent.
A lot of work has been done to form a reference network of highways in the region. At the moment, the reference road network The Orenburg region with a length of 1.5 thousand km includes 24 roads of regional and inter-municipal significance, bearing the main transport load.
