On February 16-18, the St. Petersburg International Road Forum – 2022 was held on the topic: "Innovative technologies and materials in the maintenance, repair and safety of highways and artificial structures in winter", organized by the Institute for the Development of Foreign Economic Relations.
Within the framework of the forum, leading experts and industry leaders discussed topics such as the use of modern technologies and materials for paving in winter, improving the efficiency of snow removal equipment, as well as Russian innovations for road maintenance, similarities and differences in approaches to assessing the quality of winter maintenance in Russia and in the world.
Nadezhda Sakuta, Deputy Head of the ROSDORNIA Project Office for Science, made a report on the topic: "Methodological aspects of determining the economic efficiency of using innovative technologies for winter maintenance of highways" and separately highlighted the characteristics of the types of socio-economic effects, noting transport and social.Nadezhda Borisovna explained during her speech how the calculation of socio-economic effects is carried out, and demonstrated the features of calculating the economic efficiency of winter maintenance.
During the event, ROSDORNIA employees held a number of meetings with representatives of the Russian and foreign industry community.
The possibility of establishing cooperation between ROSDORNII and Tallinn Technical University was discussed with the representative of the Estonian Department of Transport Ivan Nikitin.With the head of the staff of the "Association of Winter Maintenance of Roads" Anna Klimentyeva, as well as the head of quality and head of the research center of the group of companies "ABZ-1" Natalia Maidanova, representatives of ROSDORNIA considered the use of ash and slag to reduce the carbon footprint in the production of asphalt mixtures and the use of information modeling technologies (TIM) in the cycle of road construction.
At the meeting with Anton Gorbatovsky, Head of the Department for Interaction with state Bodies of Gazpromneft — Bitumen Materials LLC, they discussed interaction and implementation of innovations in cooperation with Scandinavian countries to reduce the trackage on the St. Petersburg ring road.
A technical visit was also organized for the forum participants to the updated laboratory of the Quality Control Department of the St. Petersburg State Institution "Directorate of Transport Construction", during which the guests got acquainted with the work of the laboratory and the use of bitumen mixtures on the roads of St. Petersburg at different times of the year. In addition, a tour of the Western High-Speed Diameter (WSD) was held for the guests with a demonstration of the use of intelligent transport systems put into operation through public-private partnership.
