As part of Rosavtodor's R&D plan, the FAA "ROSDORNII" has completed work on updating national standards GOST R 52290-2004 "Technical means of traffic management.
Road signs. General technical requirements" (Amendment No. 3 has been prepared) and GOST R 52289-2019 (instead of GOST R 52289-2004) "Technical means of traffic management. Rules for the use of road signs, markings, traffic lights, road barriers and guiding devices". On December 20, 2019, these documents were approved by Rosstandart orders 1426-st and 1425-st, respectively. The documents will enter into force on April 1, 2020 simultaneously with the entry into force of the following amendments to the Rules of the Road of the Russian Federation, where references will be made to these updated documents of the national standardization system.
