On March 26, preparations for comparative tests of mobile laser scanning systems and mobile road laboratories were completed in Krymsk.
During the preparation, the staff of the Institute determined the coordinates and elevations of 40 points. These are accurate measurements that are made with the help of geodetic equipment. In the mode of movement in the general flow at a speed of 40-80 km/ h, road laboratories will fix these positions. According to the measurement results, the test participants will provide coordinates and elevation marks at these points. Based on the data obtained from the test participants, conclusions will be drawn about the errors that the measurement systems give. The design features of the systems will also be evaluated: ease of operation, qualitative characteristics of the data presented. This is necessary to identify the best system.
