ROSDORNII Supervises Bridge Construction Across Lena River in Yakutia

FAI “ROSDORNII” signed a contract with “VIS” Group on providing construction control and the works quality monitoring for a bridge across the Lena river in Yakutia.

This is one of the largest transport projects in Russia and the first bridge in Yakutia that will connect “Lena” and “Kolima” federal roads with “Velui” highway as well as Trans-Siberian and Baikal-Amur highways with Northern Sea Route. Putting the bridge into operation will increase the transport accessibility for population of Yakutia from 22,2 up to 87%. Construction is expected to be completed before the end of 2028. Combined length of the bridge and approaching roads will be 14,5 km.

The institution’s experts will provide preliminary, operation and commissioning control with constant presence of engineering and technical staff at the construction site in Yakutsk. All the works will be carried out according to the uniform technological policy of the Federal Road Agency and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

FAI “ROSDOIRNII’ delegation, headed by the General Director Aleksandr Bedusenko, visited the construction site of the Lena Bridge this September. The delegates inspected the construction sites at both banks of the Lena river and acquainted with main features of the project as well as with the construction progress. More than 150 of 340 thousand of cubic meters of sand has been delivered for building the base of the construction sites. Furthermore, concrete plants are ready to be deployed and works are carried out to prepare the equipment installation.
