The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation.

In November 2020, the Russian Road Research Institute and the Association of Manufacturers and Consumers of Asphalt Concrete Mixtures signed a memorandum of cooperation on the development, implementation and application of new materials and technologies, as well as the development of regulatory, technical and legal framework in the field of production and application of asphalt concrete mixtures. The purpose of the agreement is to combine the efforts and experience of two leading industry structures to jointly solve problems within the framework of the implementation of the national project "Safe and High-quality Highways" (NP "BCAD").

Within the framework of joint activities, the Institute and the association plan to combine efforts to improve the regulatory framework of new technologies and materials, as well as training and advanced training of specialists in the road industry. It is planned to hold a number of joint events and systematic consultations on various issues, the creation of effective mechanisms for the exchange of information in the field of scientific and practical activities.

"This will allow us to use the human and technical resources at our disposal more effectively and accelerate the solution of urgent tasks within the framework of the national project. In addition, cooperation with representatives of asphalt concrete manufacturers and contractors significantly improves the quality of feedback we receive regarding the introduction of new materials and technologies in the industry," ROSDORNIA FAA notes.

Since 2019, the Institute has been operating the Industry-wide Competence Center for the Road Industry (BCC), created with the aim of combining the efforts of the state, the expert community and business to implement the NP "BCAD", reform the industry and build a network of safe and high-quality roads in Russia that meet modern economic realities.

One of the main activities of the FAA "ROSDORNIA" is filling the Register of new and best technologies, materials and technological solutions for reuse. This will allow organizing an open exchange of information and will enable every interested specialist, company or organization to get free access to the experience and the result of applying various solutions, regardless of when, where and by whom they were used. Thus, the best and most effective practices will become widespread in a short time, which is necessary to solve one of the key tasks of the national project – in 2024 to increase the share of the use of new materials and technologies under state contracts to at least 80%. To date, the Register already includes more than 750 names of materials, about 200 designs and more than 330 technologies.
