On April 4, 2019, a working meeting was held between the Deputy Director General of the FAA "ROSDORNIA", academician of the International Academy of Transport Ulugbek Shukhratovich Kasimov with representatives of the administration of the Sverdlovsk region, the city of Yekaterinburg, as well as with representatives of the deputy corps of the City Duma.
In particular, Deputy Mayor of Yekaterinburg Vladimir Alekseevich Geiko and deputy of the Yekaterinburg City Duma Anton Alexandrovich Gusev noted the importance of using scientific achievements in the field of road management and were interested in expanding cooperation with the FAA "ROSDORNII".
The participants discussed possible prospects for joint work on the use of GPR technology systems to assess the quality of underground utilities in the construction and operation of highways.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to conduct a series of trial georadar surveys of the condition and quality of road surfaces and underground utilities in the Sverdlovsk region in order to further explore the possibilities of using georadar diagnostic technology in the housing and utilities sector and road construction.
