Specialists of the new branch visited the facilities of the Republic of Bashkortostan last week
The Orenburg branch of the Russian Road Research Institute was established this year. It has become the ninth branch of the Institute performing the functions of an Industry–wide Competence Center - within the framework of the national project "Safe and High-quality Highways", the branch's experts conduct selective monitoring of the quality of road works at the facilities of the national project, and will also conduct a selective assessment of the technical condition of highways.
Last week, experts visited two sites in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Previously, the audit of the quality of road works in this region was conducted by specialists of the Ural branch. Recall that monitoring is carried out at all stages of work. The purpose of the departure of the employees of the new division was to assess the quality of the work performed, check the executive documentation, check compliance with the technology of work, selection of asphalt concrete mixture and cores for testing in the laboratory as part of the implementation of the national project "Safe and high-quality Highways".
Region Ufa-Chishma roads (km 26+400 – 27+900 ) is almost at the stage of completion. At the time of the arrival of the experts of the Orenburg branch, the top layer of the SHCHMA-20 coating was laid (the technology is included in the list of new and best), the roadsides were strengthened, markings were applied. Only the installation of signal columns remained.
The specialists also visited the DS-158 asphalt concrete plant, which supplies road construction materials for the facility. The auditors inspected the storage sites of the materials used, assessed the competence of the contractor's laboratory, checked the relevance of regulatory documentation, checked equipment, certified the laboratory, qualified personnel.
As part of the repair of the Blagoveshchensk-Pavlovka road section (km 36+500 – km 38+500), the device of the leveling coating layer (a/b mixture type B mark II) was completed, the contractor planned to proceed with the device of the upper coating layer, designed according to the method of volumetric and functional design (new and best technology, increasing the service life of the road).
The auditors took samples – cores – from the leveling layer. At this facility, specialists also visited asphalt concrete plants (KDM-201 and KDM-209), inspected material storage sites, checked documentation, equipment and assessed the competence of the laboratory and the qualifications of personnel. In addition, samples of inert materials used at the facility were taken.
All materials will be tested in the laboratory. In the near future, a container-type laboratory post will be delivered to the Orenburg branch, equipped with everything necessary for testing road-building materials, including equipped with modern installations for testing according to the system of volumetric and functional design.
We add that the Orenburg branch, in addition to monitoring in the Republic of Bashkortostan, will also carry out work within the framework of the national road project in the Orenburg and Samara regions.
