The ROSDORNII delegation visited the Eurasian Economic Forum "Eurasian Economic Integration in the Era of Global Change on May 26. New opportunities for investment activity". The event was held on the territory of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, in Bishkek. The organizer was the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The plenary session of the forum was addressed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The Head of State noted that today the center of economic development is gradually moving to the Asia-Pacific region. In the current situation, Russia's economic policy will focus not only on import substitution, but also on the development of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community and the CIS.
"Engineering and scientific centers are important for the development of our country, which are the basis of their own development. This is what we should think about and work on both within the framework of the EurAsEC, and in a broad sense with our partners, with those who want to cooperate with us," Vladimir Putin stressed.
Artur Romanenko, Deputy Director General of ROSDORNIA, and Viktor Ostrikov, Head of the Public Relations Department, took part in the session "Transport Complex – the Framework of Eurasian Economic Integration". The key topic of discussion was ensuring the stable functioning of the transport complexes of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in modern conditions. They also discussed the development of key approaches to the formation of supply chains on the territory of the countries that are part of the EAEU.
Alexey Sapetko, the Director of the International Department of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, spoke during the discussion. The representative of the Ministry noted the special importance of open and collective work of all participants in transport transportation for the development of global transit and logistics potentials in the context of integration. All the countries of Greater Eurasia are interested in this.
It was said that against the background of changes in macroeconomics, it is necessary to form a new paradigm for the development of international transportation. This will help to maintain sustainable mobility of the population, ensure the connectivity of territories and conduct a full-scale digitalization of the transport industry. It is also important to identify innovative transport products that will improve the quality of transportation. These include unmanned vehicles and digital railways.
ROSDORNIA representatives discussed issues of interaction on these issues with Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Turgunbayev and Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Armen Simonyan.
The Eurasian Economic Forum brings together hundreds of industrialists and entrepreneurs to strengthen cooperation between the EAEU countries. The dialogue between business and government bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union countries will allow them to adjust their policies to ensure the most favorable business climate.
