On April 17 and 18, the FAA "ROSDORNII" with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and Rosavtodor will hold an All-Russian seminar: "Transport planning and digitalization: synergy and efficiency".
The land-based urban passenger transport industry is facing a serious challenge. The key task for the industry is the transition to new, more efficient centralized models of public transport management in each agglomeration. This requires both a change in the management approach and a bet on qualified transport planning, the introduction of modern digital technologies, including intelligent transport systems, the creation of priority conditions for passenger transport by means of traffic management, the revival of electric transport and the development of new technologies in infrastructure and rolling stock.
All these tasks, solved in a single complex, should form public transport systems with a customer-oriented approach, increase its attractiveness, and therefore contribute to the shift of transport demand from individual transport in favor of public transport, which it is an important task in large cities. On the other hand, an integrated approach is designed to create conditions for the formation of a transparent economic basis for the functioning of public transport systems and promote healthy entrepreneurship and competition.
The new federal project as part of the BCD national project will become one of the most important factors in reforming public transport in urban agglomerations. Discussion of the federal project"Modernization of passenger transport in urban agglomerations" in close connection with intelligent transport systems is the main topic of the All–Russian seminar "Transport Planning and Digitalization: Synergy and Efficiency".
The seminar will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Federal Road Agency, the FAA "ROSDORNII", "VEB.RF", STLC and regional executive authorities.
