In 2022, about 16 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal and local budgets for the modernization of roads in the Moscow region. According to the results of the voting of residents on the Dobrodel portal, the most important sections for the population were included in the list of repairs: 397 rural roads, 271 urban roads, 18 highways and 183 roads of social significance, the press service of the regional government reported.
Control over the repair of roads in the region is fully automated today. A special system has been created that reflects the progress of work on each site – from the amount of equipment and the time of the start of all operations, to the completion of work, passing expertise, conducting laboratory tests and paying contractors.
In total, it is planned to repair 1,259 suburban roads with a total length of 1.5 thousand km by October. In addition to the opinions of local residents and representatives of authorized government bodies, when choosing priority sites for modernization, criteria such as the percentage of destruction, traffic intensity, accident rate, the presence of socially significant objects and traffic jams are taken into account.

From June 22 to 24, 2022, Novosibirsk will host the IX International Siberian Transport Forum and a specialized exhibition of transport and logistics services, commercial transport and special equipment. At a meeting of the Committee on Transport, Road Management and Safety of the Voronezh Regional Duma, the results of research work on building an effective model of an intelligent transport system in the region were discussed. This is reported by the press service of the regional parliament.
The decision to create a regional ITS was made last year and research on its development and implementation was then estimated at about 50 million rubles. The project itself is being implemented, as in other regions, within the framework of the national project "Safe High-quality Roads" and is funded from the federal budget.
So far, the Voronezh Region is at the very beginning of the road in terms of building ITS. Therefore, it is important at this stage to correctly determine the main areas of investment in road transport infrastructure, analyze traffic flows, as well as prospects for the development of all agglomeration systems, evaluate possible scenarios for the development of the transport component, taking into account the General Plan, sources of financing and other factors.
Today, the region has identified the main areas for the introduction of ITS, a list of subsystems being created and connected to it, and the need for the acquisition of software and hardware. One of the most important subsystems of ITS will be video surveillance on major highways and facilities, emergency detection systems will work at intersections. According to the forecast, the introduction of ITS will increase the average speed of vehicles by 10%, reduce traffic jams by about 20%, and reduce emissions of pollutants by 9.3% per year.
