Avramenko: disruption of trade balance always leads to disruption of transit routes
Belta By, 22.03.2022
Disruption of the trade balance always leads to disruption of transit routes. This was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communications Alexey Avramenko during a visit to the Belarusian State University of Transport in Gomel.
"The current situation has a direct impact on the work of the transport complex of Belarus. Disruption of the trade balance always leads to disruption of transit routes, so the main issue for us is the revision and creation of new logistics chains for cargo delivery. Today, the republic can successfully sell its products in the markets of China, India and other Asian countries," Alexey Avramenko said.
At a meeting with the faculty and students of the university, the Minister discussed topical issues of the development of the transport complex in the context of a pandemic and the socio-political situation in the world. The head of the Ministry of Transport separately focused on the work of civil aviation and road transport. He noted that flights to a number of destinations continue to be carried out, but with some route changes. A similar situation is typical for international road freight transportation.
Alexey Avramenko also stressed the need to improve the level of training in the industry, the importance of obtaining high-quality knowledge and a responsible approach to the profession in the future.

Implementation of flood control measures on highways of republican significance
Kazavtodor, 24.03.2022
In order to monitor the implementation of the flood control plan in the framework of preventing flooding and erosion of republican highways, the Kazakhavtodor Partnership held a press tour.
As part of the tour, media representatives drove from 16 to 173 km of the Nur-Sultan – Pavlodar highway, which is of strategic importance and has a high risk of flooding. They were also informed about the progress of work in the region and the republic.
In addition to the fact that this road is one of the most important arteries of the country, it requires special attention due to the location of a large number of settlements and small lakes along the road. For example, at least five pastures are located on the 173 kilometer of the road, including Lake Korzhynkol, the settlements of Tasbaka, Saidaly and Saryadyr.
Intensive work is currently underway to open water supply networks located on roads of republican significance.
As part of the plan, 428 potentially dangerous road sections, 93 bridges and 819 culverts were taken under control.
747 units of special road maintenance equipment Kazakhavtodor are assigned to the objects. In flood-dangerous places, round-the-clock duty is organized and daily patrolling of roads and road structures is carried out.
According to the climatic zone, work is underway on all roads of republican significance to clear snow and ice from the channels of the bridge zones and open the openings of culverts. To date, 4,696 of the available 12,339 culverts have been opened.
Also, in order to preserve the roadway during the spring flood period, traffic restrictions were introduced for trucks and large-sized vehicles with a single axle load of over 8 tons on the roads:
-
from March 1 to April 1 on the roads of Almaty, Atyrau, Zhambyl, Karaganda (Zhezkazkan region), Kyzylorda, Mangystau and South Kazakhstan regions.
-
from March 23 to May 1 – in Akmola, Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda (Karaganda region), Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions.
