  • Abstract: The article deals with the numerical study results of the stress-strain state of a road embankment with reinforcement of the base with geosynthetic material during the formation of karst deformations of 2 types: a karst sinkhole at the base of the road embankment and a cavity in karst soils lying 10-20 m below the embankment base. When designing anti-karst protection with the installation of an alarm system on geosynthetic material, in addition to the traditional calculations for failure in the base, the need to perform calculations of the efforts and deformations in the geosynthetic material for the formation of a cavity in karst soils is justified for taking timely protection measures. The necessity of additional calculation of the embankment slope stability after the formation of a karst sinkhole is proved.

  • Abstract: For the purpose of calculating the new integral indicator «Contentment with road safety» included in the Federal project «Road Traffic Safety», synthesized four areas of activity, including indicators characterizing these areas have been formed. To assess the integral indicator expertly, the values of the generated indicators for each area of activity are determined. Then the values of these indicators, taking into account their importance, are transformed into a generalized assessment of the areas of activity. Using an integrated assessment procedure, generalized direction assessments are transformed into a comprehensive evaluation of contentment with road traffic safety. It is noted that it is possible to achieve an acceptable value for a comprehensive evaluation of contentment with road traffic safety by improving the values of not all indicators, but only some of the ones that have the greatest impact on the integrated evaluation of the integral indicator.
