Abstract:The issue of development of high-speed highway network in China is considered. The relevance of the creation of such highway network is justified. Оwing to modern highways the convergence of levels of socio-economic development and economic integration of provinces and autonomous regions of the PRC are accelerated, a large-scale regional space is being formed, transportation costs of enterprises of all sectors of the economy are reduced, as well as vehicle speed, freight turnover and transport mobility are increased, and the need for excessive stocks is reduced. As a result, labor productivity is increased; competitiveness of local manufacturers is improved, along with enabling their entry into hitherto inaccessible regional markets.

Abstract:The aerodynamic tests for characterization of road facilities geometry during winter maintenance based on aerodynamic modeling are carried out in order to determine the running resistance force and the influence of crosswind. The subject of research during an aerodynamic experiment was an earth cut with a overblow screen protecting it against snow. The experiment was carried out in the University Laboratory of Simulation Experiment In Mechanics, Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling, Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky. For the first time, a method was developed for conducting joint mathematical and natural aerodynamic modeling of screens placement and the processes of their interaction with wind snow-drifting transport during winter maintenance of public roads.
The experiment results are recommended for theoretical and practical application and further development in the theoretical support and practice of winter maintenance of public roads.

Abstract:Based on the criteria of ensuring a given strength factor of non-rigid road pavements, formulas for calculating their differentiated interrepair periods are obtained. For the calculation of required elastic moduli of nonrigid road pavements, the recommended interrepair periods are: from 14 to 20 years for heavy-duty pavements; from 9 to 16 years for light-duty pavements; from 6 to 10 years for pavements of transition type.
Special attention is paid to the fact that the adopted today’s equality of interrepair periods for all types of non-rigid road pavements for I-IV 108 categories of roads is controversial because a light-duty pavement cannot be as durable as a heavy-duty pavement, and pavement of transition type is designed for a transitional period, which can not last 24 years.
This is also apparent from the guidelines provisions of non-rigid road pavements’ calculation with different levels of reliability, safety factors, required modulus of elasticity, materials used in structural layers for various
types of non-rigid road pavements.
It is concluded that the adopted pavements’ and surfaces’ interrepair periods require additional justification and adjustment.
Keywords:types of non-rigid road pavements, averaged and differentiated interrepair periods, formulas for calculation, safety factors, required elastic moduli, levels of reliability, assessment of adopted interrepair period’s validity.

Abstract:The article deals with a calculation of composite steel and concrete bridge span by Finite elements method taking into account the compliance of shear connection with steel beam top chord. The algorithms for calculating cross sections without assumptions about the absolute rigidity of the cross section, circumventing the flat cross-section hypothesis, that improves the accuracy of determining the stresses in various elements of the span, are developed. The analysis of design model when calculating for uniformly distributed load from dead load showed that taking into account the compliance of connection leads to a significant redistribution of stress between reinforced concrete slab and steel beam top chord.
Keywords:steel-concrete composite bridges, stress-strain state of bridge structures.

Abstract:The value and criteria of road traffic safety for the signalized intersection are defined. Signalized intersections are the most expressed places of concentration of traffic accident on road network of Volgograd City. Road traffic safety is the defining consumer property of the signalized intersection. The methodology of assessment and increase of road traffic safety at the signalized intersection is offered. Classification of criteria of road traffic safety including signal and technical, constructive and geometrical, as well as statistical criteria is offered.
Road traffic safety at the signalized intersection is determined by visibility conditions and understanding of the way how to pass the signalized intersection. Visibility conditions have to be compensated by signal and technical means using the conflict-free gating device and also duration of change intervals in regulation cycle. Increasing in duration of change intervals leads to improve road traffic safety, but at the same time the practical capacity of traffic flows decreases.
